The growing demand for clean sources of energy has expanded dramatically in recent years and fuelled the manufacture of solar cells and modules.

Solar modules offer multiple advantages over other forms of energy. Solar modules convert sunlight directly into DC electricity. The fuel is free, and there are no moving parts to wear out, break down or replace. Only minimum maintenance is required to keep the system running for more than 25 years. The system is modular, can be quickly installed anywhere and produces no noise, harmful emissions or polluting gases.

Photonic Energy A/S is a Danish holding company with activities in production, sales, marketing and distribution of solar modules, systems and applications world-wide. Photonic Energy owns one of the world's largest OEM solar module manufacturers with three factories in China and customers all over the world. On the mature German market, Photonic Energy owns a leading player, which markets individual customized complete solar module systems across Europe. Finally, Photonic Energy owns two companies, which develops solar power plants and markets the power plants to institutional and private investors, respectively.

With more than 1,250 employees, the group generated total revenues of DKK 713 mill. for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2010.
